HOW WE PREPARE ISOPODS FOR SHIPPING?
1) Selection of Healthy Isopods
We carefully select active and healthy isopods from our breeding colonies to ensure that only quality isopods are shipped
2) Secure Individual Packaging
The isopods are placed inside a ventilated plastic cup with small air holes. A damp tissue is placed at the bottom to help maintain humidity, followed by moist moss to provide a comfortable environment during transit. The isopods are then added, and the container is securely sealed with tape and labeled accordingly.
3) Safe Transport Preparation
Each container is packed inside a sturdy shipping box. Cushioning materials such as bubble wrap, crumpled paper, or other protective fillers are used to minimize movement and absorb impacts during transport. When necessary, a small cooling pack may be included to help regulate temperature. The inside of the box is also lined with insulating foam to help maintain stable conditions throughout the shipping.
4) Final Inspection and Sealing
Before dispatch, every package undergoes a final inspection to verify the species, quantity, packaging integrity, and labeling. The box is then securely sealed to ensure safe delivery to its destination.
5) Handover to the Courier
Once the package has passed our final inspection, it is carefully handed over to the selected courier for shipping. Our goal is to ensure that the isopods arrive safely and in good condition, ready to settle into their new home.
6) Customer Updates
Once the package has been handed over to the courier, we provide the customer with all relevant shipping proof and updates. This includes photos of the packed order, the waybill or tracking number, and any other necessary information.
